On the weekend of September 8-10, 2017 the faithful of St. John the Baptist Church gathered to celebrate their 120th Anniversary as the oldest parish in the Diocese.  His Grace Bishop Gregory was present for the weekend long festivities.  During the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, Reader Andrew Wythe was ordained a sub-deacon in the presence of all those gathered.  In addition, new icongraphy was consecrated by His Grace Bishop Gregory.   A celebratory banquet was held at a local banquet facility for fellowship refelction and celebration.
